Jonathon Flores was born in 1983 in Golden Hill, San Diego, CA. He was born from a family of artists which included his great aunt, Margaret Flores Nichols, a professional artist, animator and director known for her work with studios that included Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros, and Disney. As a child, Jonathon had fond memories of his great aunt drawing artwork for all the young kids during family functions.

These experiences inspired young Jonathon to pursue artwork, and he began his journey sketching out doodles in all of his textbooks at school. He liked to draw the photos that he would see in his books, whether it was his interpretation of nature and landscapes or portraits of historical figures in his history classes.

Over the years Jonathon explored many areas of art, from poetry to graffiti art, but in his 30’s discovered his passion for photography. Jonathon takes his experiences and applies them to his photography, lending to a unique perspective that draws the eye to the beauty of everyday ordinary landscapes and scenery.
