Born in 1983 in Golden Hill, San Diego, CA, Jonathon Flores comes from a lineage of artists. Creativity runs deep in his blood, most notably through his great aunt, Margaret Flores Nichols—a trailblazing professional artist, animator, and director whose work graced the screens of iconic studios like Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros, and Disney.

Jonathon’s earliest artistic memories are filled with the magic of family gatherings, where his great aunt would bring joy to all the children with her quick, captivating sketches. Watching her effortlessly breathe life into a blank page left a lasting impression on young Jonathon, planting seeds of inspiration that would grow with him.

He began his own artistic journey the way many young dreamers do—with doodles in the margins of school textbooks, sketching historical figures from his history lessons, Jonathon found joy in recreating and reinterpreting the world around him through art.

As his creative vision expanded, Jonathon was drawn to the art of photography, discovering a new way to connect with the world and tell its stories.
